Continuing Education Fund (CEF)

A number of courses in the full-time programmes at International College have been included in the list of reimbursable courses for Continuing Education Fund (CEF) purposes. The CEF was established by the Hong Kong Government to support and subsidises adults with learning aspirations to pursue continuing education and training. Students should observe the latest arrangement of CEF on the official website:

Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of their fees, subject to a maximum sum of HK$20,000 (whichever is the less), on successful completion of the approved reimbursable course. The fees for more than one reimbursable course may be reimbursed, subject to the maximum ceiling of HK$20,000 per applicant not being exceeded.

The Enhancement Measures for Continuing Education Fund (CEF) has been implemented on 1 April 2019.  For CEF reimbursable courses commenced on or after 1 April 2019, applicants have no need to open an account before class commencement but to submit the completed CEF Application Form [SFO302(2019)] together with the required institutional certification and supporting documents to the Office of the Continuing Education Fund (OCEF) within one year upon successful completion of the CEF Course and before reaching the age of 71. Late applications will not be accepted by the OCEF.  IC students who have completed the CEF eligible courses/modules can submit the completed CEF application form to the respective programme teams to affix the HKU SPACE official chop and obtain the required certification.
