IIM Open Forum: Hong Kong Palace Museum at West Kowloon (plus showing related art objects)

香港故宮文化博物館在西九 公開論壇 (及有關珍品展覽)

Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city which converges the cultural elements of the East and the West. The rule of law and vigorous commercial activities have fostered excellence in public and corporate governance. The spirit of professionalism is well showcased by contract-making and execution. Hong Kong’s far-reaching art and cultural infrastructure planning has given rise to cultural dynamism as well as vibrant art scenes. The planned Hong Kong Palace Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District is viewed by pundits to be an initiative that is primed to usher in enormous opportunities. To explore the germinal significance of the Palace Museum project, this Forum approaches the topic from an array of perspectives from curators, collectors, scholars, critics to publishers. Renowned speakers of the field will discuss the changing cultural landscapes of Hong Kong effected by this cultural project with the Mainland.

In this Forum, the audience are encouraged to have dialogues with renowned speakers of the respective fields, moreover, a  few  pieces of highly valuable antiques, antique maps, and paintings which are typical collection items related to the Chinese Palace Museum will also be displayed.

香港為國際文明的大都會，東西文化交匯的樞紐。百年以來，它從豐富的法治和商業經驗當中，形成了卓越的管治能力，體現了契約承諾與執行的專業精神。全賴這種高廣的文化視野，香港文化藝術得以融會貫通，有 識之士尤關注西九文化區內倡設故宮文化博物館藏，亟欲探索它為本地帶來的又一龐大機遇。

是次座談會的重要義意，在於從香港專業管理角度， 從藏家收藏觀點，以至學術、文化、出版等各種大戰略 層面，說明故宮文物落戶香港的地緣優勢。座談會將由社會各界翹楚，循不同的演講環節，引導我們認識香港 文化的新氣象，展現香港與中國密不可分的國族關係同時，在世界舞台上擔當的重要角色。

論壇期間將會展出故宮博物館的相關珍品及資料，觀眾可以與該領域的知名演講者進行對話，此外，還將展示一些非常有價值的古董，古董地圖和作為與中國故宮博物館相關的珍貴收藏品的畫作。
