The University of London degree at HKU SPACE has equipped me with both analytical and critical thinking skills which prepared me for my master’s degree. Having had the opportunity to further my study at the LSE, learning from world-class academics, is a once in a lifetime opportunity I will forever cherish.

It was an enlightening journey filled with challenges and excitements, the knowledge and experiences from the programmes provided me a strong foundation in developing my business “50+ Exercise Buddy”. I have experienced supports from all levels, my lecturers demonstrated how quality of teaching can make a difference in learning whilst administration staff were helpful. I was most grateful to receive Outstanding Performance Scholarship for 2 consecutive years.

Aviation never stopped growing even the pandemic as well as my limitless passion towards the industry. The Bachelor degree jointed organised by HKU SPACE and Swinburne equipped me with practical and theoretical knowhow of the industry. By studying the Bachelor Degree, I have learnt not only the industry fundamentals but the insights from the professionals especially during COVID where unknowns were still in place. The course provides a comprehensive study portfolio to learn and gain knowledge incorporates marketing, operations, project management and researching with accessible resources provided by the university. At Swinburne, I can also meet experienced and qualified tutors with quality teaching manners through lectures and seminars. The tutors are professional and patient in easing our concerns no matter in assignments or projects. Throughout the years at the school, although the schedule is tightly packed, I still find it enjoyable and exciting with mixed-teaching modes under the pandemic times.

This BA programme has developed my communication skills and comprehensive understanding of the role public relations and advertising played in contemporary society. It is practical and intellectual. The inspirational and analytical elements in the programme are essential to my current study in the master’s degree in the area of Ethics and Public Affairs.

I studied the BA (Hons) Marketing in 2018. After graduation, I assisted my mum and sister to established a new British style tea house, the Victorian Rose Tea Room, and took care of all the marketing promotion for the business. It was amazing that I successfully applied the marketing concepts I learnt from the BA (Hons) Marketing which gave me a strong foundation. The marketing campaigns and activities kicked off during the launch period including brand promotion, digital marketing, content marketing and storytelling, etc. had generated opportunities for interviews and features from over 80 media. It effectively boosted up our brand awareness and customer traffic. The marketing knowledge which I learnt from the marketing degree is not just knowledge on paper but they indeed successfully promoted our tea house to lots of Hong Kong people and help us to build up our foothold in the market.

“Building on my previous education on Food Health and Business Management, the degree programme has equipped me with solid and practical knowledge in hospitality management. I learnt a lot from both overseas and local teachers through lectures, class activities and field trips. After graduation, I am very pleased to work in a Michelin-starred French restaurant in an upscale hotel so as to deepen my hospitality knowledge. Since this degree programme is recognized worldwide, I have already planned to pursue a Master degree qualification overseas.”

The UoL International Program at HKU Space offered the unique opportunity to gain an international education from a globally-renowned university (UoL) in my home city. Doing the BSc Economics and Management provided a very well-rounded and in-depth education of both economics and general business. Studying with HKU SPACE also gave me the opportunity to attend intensive revision classes with foreign professors closer to the exam date, which had a hugely positive impact on exam performance. The degree has fortified my quantitative and qualitative skills, and achieving a first class honours has opened doors for me to pursue further education at the world’s top business schools.
